Start by asking students to think of an adjective that could be used to describe each of these people or groups of people.

addicts            firemen             gangs             heroes

pickpockets           soldiers           warriors

You could also ask them to search for the words on the internet and find common collocations.

Suggestions (based on websearches)

drug, fitness, TV addicts

part-time, retired, volunteer firemen

armed, street gangs

local, national, unsung heroes

former, successful, suspected pickpockets

brave, child, toy soldiers

deadly, eco-, urban warriors

Next, give them the list of adjectives below and get them to match one to each of the words:

crazy, friendly, harmless, honest, music, peaceful, unexpected.

Then, show them the video below.

Ask them to notice which adjectives are used with which words.  (see key below)

Ask students if they think the final sentence:  ‘Let’s look at the world a little differently.‘ is a good way to live.

Key:  crazy heroes, friendly gangs, harmless soldiers, honest pickpockets, music addicts, peaceful warriors, unexpected firemen
