DESCRIPTION:Phonics teaching is an integral part of literacy curriculums in British\, American and bilingual schools but how much phonics teaching takes place in other English language teaching contexts? EFL teachers often teach their young learners whole words\, their pronunciation and meaning rather than breaking words down and looking at patterns to help with spelling or reading and writing.\nCourse books are catching up with the importance of phonics\, as are teachers.\nIn this webinar\, we will look at how integrating short\, sharp\, simple bursts of phonics in our lessons can develop confident young readers and spellers and lay a solid foundation for future language awareness and learning.\nThis is the 5th in a series of webinars by some of the Fun Skills authors.\nI worked on levels 3 and 5 of Fun Skills and it’s looking great! \nI’ve signed up to the webinar for the Thursday session.  There’s another session the following day. \nGood luck Montse!
